Dra. Anne-Emanuelle Birn

Professor of Critical Development Studies and Social and Behavioral Health Sciences at the University of Toronto, Canada
(BA, Harvard, MA, University of Canterbury, Nova Scotia; ScD Johns Hopkins) is a professor of Critical Development Studies and of Social and Behavioral Health Sciences at the University of Toronto, where she was Canada's Research Chair in International Health (2003-2013). Previously, she was an Associate Professor at the New School of Social Research in New York City, and has been a visiting professor at the Universidad de la República in Montevideo, Uruguay, and at the Center for Medical and Health Research (INSERM) in Paris.

Dr. Christovam Barcellos

Researcher at the Fundación Oswaldo Cruz and professor at the Escuela Nacional de Salud Pública de Brasil
Geographer, specialist in public health, doctor in geosciences, he was in charge of the health department in the health secretary of Rio de Janeiro. He is currently a researcher at the Fundación Oswaldo Cruz and a professor at the Escuela Nacional de Salud Pública de Brasil. Researcher of Concejo Nacional de Investigaciones (CNPq).

Dr. Fabián Méndez Paz

Director of the Public Health School of the Universidad del Valle
Medical surgeon with a Masters in Epidemiology from the Universidad del Valle and PhD in Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins University. He is currently an associate professor and Director of the Public Health School. He is also a member of the Editorial Board of the Colombian Medical Journal. He was part of the Functional Epidemiology Group of the Departmental Health Secretariat of Valle del Cauca, Colombia. Director and professor of the Master in Epidemiology of the Public Health School. His research areas are infectious diseases, environmental epidemiology, environmental health and ecohealth.

He is currently the National Director of Environment and Health of the Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador. He is also a professor at the Universidad Internacional SEK. He has worked as National Assistant Secretary for Health Promotion and Equality Ministry of Public Health; Attending doctor and Chief of the Health Service of Personnel Hospital Carlos Andrade Marín and Coordinator of Medical Audit-Directorate of General Individual and Family Health Insurance IEES.
